Leadership Opportunity - Mentorship Program

Are you a passionate HR professional looking to give back to the community while developing leadership and mentorship skills?  Consider serving as a mentor in the 2019/2020 academic year mentorship program! 

We're looking to build meaningful relationships between the UW-EC students and area HR Professionals with a position that focuses on the student's area of HR interest, if applicable.  Mentors and mentees will find value through networking, building partnerships, and discovering potential career and development opportunities.  The mentor and mentee are expected to meet for 1 hour per month – at a location of their choosing.  We encourage those participating in the program to make the experience their own - meeting more frequently if both parties have an interest.  As a mentor you can take pride in the fact that you are:

• ·         Giving back to the HR community
• ·         Developing relationship and expanding your network with future HR professionals
• ·         Providing coaching to aspiring professionals and potentially helping a student find their passion
• ·         Potentially building the talent pool for your place of business
• ·         Developing yourself as a leader

An important kick-off event will be held on October 8^th at UW-Eau Claire for all mentors and mentees.  This event is designed to provide a brief overview of the program while giving the mentor and mentee a comfortable environment for their first meeting.  It will enable the mentor and mentee the opportunity to start building a relationship, establish goals and schedule the next meeting.
