76% of employees feel burned out, drained, or exhausted at work. Nearly half of employee’s report feeling down, depressed or hopeless. This is increasing according to SHRM research, and yet more than one in three employees reported having done nothing to cope with these feelings.
Many of these people are experiencing definable mental health and wellness challenges which could be covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and may require HR professionals to design and implement accommodations to help them flourish at work.
Mental Health and Wellness has emerged as one of the critical issues of our time and has only been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic. Now is the time to understand what helping our people looks like, what works and which tools and policies we can access to solve one of the greatest challenges to our workforce.
